Mike Fuller, Nick Wilson and Gavin Bradley are the three pirates

Mike has been a cinematographer and director for over 30 years having
worked all over the globe with such extraordinary talents as George
Lucas, Ron Howard, Joe Johnson and Marvin Chomsky, with great actors -
Sam Neill, Robert Mitchum, Val Kilmer, Michael J Fox - and in
commercials he has directed superstars Tiger Woods and Naomi Campbell.
Mike has always had a love of the sea and is an experienced underwater
cameraman as well as being an accomplished yachtsman.
Nick also enjoys a career in the film industry having built sets for
Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and King Kong among many. However,
Nick's real building job is a labour of love. For almost 2 decades he
has been building an extraordinary boat, a replica of Joshua Slocum's
'Spray'. Slocum was the first person to single handedly circumnavigate
the globe completing the task in 1898.
Gavin enjoyed a 26 year career in advertising, most of it with the renowned
Saatchi & Saatchi Wellington. Ads he created won many international
awards including several Gold Lions at the Cannes International
Festival. Gavin was also instrumental in the restoration of the Zane
Grey game fishing boat 'Otehei', built in 1926 and now held in trust
and moored at Opua.
Calico Jack's is the result of 3 blokes living out their unfulfilled
boyhood dreams!
